Three most learned throughout my graduate experience:
1. Research is so important because it is always changing
2. Communication in the work environment
3. Providing feedback to your students
My long term goal is to positively impact students and teachers by following my dream of becoming a professor and professional trainer.
I have gained so much knowledge and experience in this course than I thought I would. When you think you’re doing your best and it’s not enough Dr. Daragh always provided great feedback that kept me interested and encouraged to keep me working on this capstone project. I had to dig deeper into research for this project and found more interesting facts about family engagements. It was also nice that I had helpful peers that gave great insights, feedback and helpful resources to help in in my research. I greatly appreciate my colleagues, family, peers and professor for all the support. So many times I wanted to just quit and come back to it. WE MADE IT!!!

Kweshonte,
ReplyDeleteThis journey at times was tough for me as well. I wanted to give up numerous times, but I persevered through it all. We all should be proud to completing this path of advancing our education. I wish you much success in the future "Dr. Matthews".
Kweshonte,
ReplyDeleteWe made it!!! I loved that part...isn't it so exciting! However, our journey has just begin. I am so excited to be an advocate of social change and to do what is best for children. You are right that research is always changing. It is our job as educators to keep studying and stay current with issues and trends in early childhood. Thank you so much for sharing your insight and best of luck in your future endeavors!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the support and guidance that you have helped me with along this journey. I too had many moments of wanting to quit but was reassured that I could do this. I also was pushed into a deeper understanding of parental engagement and the importance of it in the last few weeks. Congrats and can’t wait to see the amazing change that we all make along the way.
Kweshonte, you have been a fantastic colleague on this journey. You didn't quit, you persevered and you've done a great job! Thanks for all your support and encouragement along the way. Wishing you the best now and always!!
ReplyDeleteKweshonte,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I agree with you that this program was very challenging. I had many sleepless nights trying to do research and complete assignments. I am glad that you stuck with it. I was helpful to know that we were all in this together. I know that you will make sure to help your students are also challenged and encouraged to learn and grow as we all did. I would also like to teach adults in the early childhood field. Good luck!
